#libday8 Friday

The fifth instalment in week long series of Library Day in the Life blog posts for Round 8.

I neglected to make any notes about Friday as I did with the other days last week. As there has been a stressful snow filled weekend between Friday and now, I’m conscious of the fact that my memories of Friday are rather woolly.  So this post shall be short and to the point.

Morning

Mainly project work with some requests for tapes and phone calls thrown in to the mix. Finally starting to make sense of all the database records for the programme title I’m currently working on which is good, as when I started this title it seemed to be an impossible tangle of unidentifiable data.

Lunch was spent blogging and catching up with library reading.  I’ve started to get into the habit of staying at my desk to spend time on professional development things. I really like how much I can get done but do miss sitting around in the canteen doing nothing so will need to figure out how to balance the two activities.

Afternoon

A routine afternoon with a lack of different or interesting tasks to share.  A good chance to make even more progress with my project work.  A couple of large requests to work on plus a rather difficult enquiry which I only finished off this morning after a weekend of letting it stress me more than I should have done.
